Artiqo

Welcome, anyone and everyone

Eek, I forgot about updating this for a bit. Whatever, been learning more drawing stuff. School started recently too, so time will have to go into that.
Anyways, Been feeling some more ups and downs, higher highs and lower lows. Don't really know what to write, so maybe I'll spend some time on formatting stuff.
Oh, I did add a meowsy that I drew to my entrance page, so thats cool I guess.

Hey, back onto the "every other day" cycle, right? Well maybe. I still like having something to slowly work on and make look better. Today is a bit of CSS, which I will slowly add throughout the day as I feel. I have other things that need my attention as well, and I'll be working on this between each of those.

That said, how about my drawing? Those have gotten insanely better this week than they ever had been before! Nobody has seen my old work (maybe I'll post some of it for the funny, so it can be seen how much I've changed) but god DAMN is it an improvement. I *really* like looking at what I made this week. Though, some of what I drew last night kinda fell off a bit, but I'm not too worried. Today I'm going to focus on refining some of my linework and make the construction a bit more consistent. I also want to expand into some other types of drawing, since right now all I can really draw is that fluffy white animal. Maybe I'll call that guy Artiqo, and that will be the fursona for Artiqo. That's something that the name Artiqo has never had in its over 10 years of existing. Kinda cool!

Eesh, okay. So much for the "every other day" thing I had going. That's a huge habit I have, to pick something up for a bit then drop it. Oh well, As long as I keep working on creative outlets and not just mindlessly consuming, I'll be happy.

That's kinda what got me into, like really into, drawing and neocities right now. I HATE how much I just mindlessly consume content now. I am an animal in the digital farm. Being able to create something, even if it's pretty rough right now, is actually fairly fun, and helps my state-of-mind. I've been feeling pretty... good lately actually. Kinda strage to say that. Anytime I say I'm "happy" or "good" just makes me cringe inside because like, do I actually feel that way? Is that a real way to describe myself? But yknow, lately it kinda is accurate and I love that.

Anyways, I feel bad that I'm subjecting people to this hideous website with little to no CSS rules in place to make it look good. This weekend I want to put a little effort into that so it's not just a revolting mess of "GrApHiC DeSiGn IS mY PAssiOn!".

According to Neocities, 100 poor souls have visited this site so far! 100 is very small, but hey, thats 100 people that looked at this pink on pink mess. I promise I'll add other colors that aren't so saturated.

Well, here it is, two days later and I crack open the webpage again. I added the "about me" page and scrambled the egg that is my brain on it. Probably not the best "about me", but it should do the trick.
I've also added a page for a QnA, and for some doodles that I do.

CSS needs work. I know. I'm slowly working on that as well. I think these four pages (home, About me, qna, art) are all I'm going to have for a while. So I just need to maintain those and improve the CSS. At the rate I'm going, it seems I do work on this every other day, on even numbered days. Is that intentional? no. Will I keep doing it? idk, probably. Does it matter? no.

It isn't pretty, no. But I've never exactly used CSS so give it some time and maybe it'll get prettier. Im going through the linked CSS resources that neocities calls to, and it will take me some time to digest all of that.

I think my next step (after getting a bit of CSS down) is to make a homepage that directs to other parts of my little site. Of course, right now I'm using it as somewhat of a journal I guess, so that will probably be its own seperate location.
I also have been getting into digital drawing, so maybe another page for some of those; also, having a page for a short story I've been working on might be cool - could maybe get that out there and have some feedback on it.

Some other sites have a small chat feature, while I don't know if I specifically want that, a sort of QnA or digital signature book would be cool.

Welcome! (again). I just found out about neocities and like the idea. Im just barely too young to have truly experienced the early internet (and even though I could have, I was too busy playing on my DS or on club penguin to care about anything else).
I hope I come back to this and update my own little corner of the internet periodically. I've been on a big "retro" computing kick recently, really pining for the "golden age" of the internet.
Just got into digital art, maybe I'll use this to upload some garbage I make. I don't really know what to put to make it "authentic" to early internet vibes, but I don't think I'll worry about that, and just make it however I want.

Aside from that, I work on small game projects (though none of them have seen the light of day... Maybe that'll change), I am quite an amature when it comes to drawing, and I am trying my best at uni.

Anyways, I look forward to making something here.
